The Aquatennial Ambassador Foundation was founded to provide educational scholarships for the Queen of the Lakes and two Princesses who are selected each year to represent the Minneapolis Aquatennial. The Foundation is a Minnesota nonprofit organization and a Section 501(c)(3) public charity.
For more than 70 years, the Minneapolis Aquatennial has been honored to have tremendous representatives of our communities carry the warm summer greetings of Aquatennial to festivals throughout the State of Minnesota, across the U.S. and abroad.
Former Aquatennial Queens and Princesses have gone on to lead rewarding family lives and careers.Doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, company executives, creative designers, public relations specialists, artists, a television news anchor, an Iraq war veteran and community volunteers are just a few examples of the contributions these women have made to society.
The Aquatennial Ambassador Foundation is committed to continuing the tradition of providing educational scholarship awards for the Queen of the Lakes and Princesses.
